Powerlifting Meet Day Guide

Understand the flow from weigh-in to awards, including flights, warm-ups, commands, attempts, and what to bring.

Meet day feels busy because several timelines overlap. Your job is simpler: know the current flight, the attempt card, and when the next warm-up must happen.

Before lifting starts

Arrive to the organiser's schedule, complete weigh-in and equipment checks, submit required rack heights or openers, then find the warm-up area before the first flight begins.

[PH] Verify the exact sequence against the selected event's current rules before M9.

Flights and attempts

Each lift runs through flights and three attempts. Watch the board, communicate attempt changes within the allowed window, and warm up backward from your likely platform time.

From deadlifts to awards

After the final deadlift, confirm the result and any ceremony instructions before packing up. A calm finish is part of a well-run day.

Before the day

  • Read the current event informationRules and schedules belong to the organiser, not an old social post.
  • Pack approved equipment and identification
  • Write down openers and warm-up timing
  • Know who is handling attempt changes
